Make A Difference For Those Who Need It Most
About Us
The purpose of Helping Hands of Cincinnati is to provide financial support to families battling cancer in the Tri-State Area. Our goal is to provide financial support to supplement finances which insurance companies might not cover. These costs include, but are not limited to, travel, living expenses, related physical and mental therapy, deductibles, and co-insurance payments. In addition, we will direct families to other support programs that can ease the financial burdens associated with cancer. HHC will be accepting new applications in Spring 2020. 100% of all proceeds raised by HHC donations and events go directly to Cincinnati families.
Alicia Logeman
Alicia Logeman helped found Helping Hands of Cincinnati in 2011. HHC was formed after Alicia and friend watched a mutual friend struggle with his wife’s diagnosis of cancer. In addition to the devastating physical impact, the financial burden was taking it’s toll.
This inspired the idea to support others in the community with the financial strain associated with a cancer diagnosis. Alicia was raised in Fairfield, Ohio and has a strong desire to participate in her community assisting others. She is a behavior analyst and owner of an autism treatment facility. She is married with two children and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
She enjoys fundraising for the golf outing and the spirit the community has when they participate in this annual event.
Erin DeBow
Erin DeBow has been volunteering with Helping Hands of Cincinnati since its founding in 2011. After caregiving for several family members battling cancer, Erin saw first-hand the financial effects of cancer treatment and recovery.
Growing up in Cincinnati, Erin also feels called to make positive contributions to the people in this great city! It’s a true honor to lighten the load of local people who are bravely fighting this unforgiving disease.
Erin has been a teacher in the Cincinnati area for 20 years. She lives locally with her husband and four children.
